The 3rd edition of the national sandwich competition took place during the 30th edition of the bread festival on the square in front of Notre-Dame in Paris.
More than just a snack, the sandwich is a veritable field of expression for craftspeople
"Every detail counts: choice of bread, textures and balance of flavours. The contestants will have to come up with three new sandwich recipes, combining taste and creativity (...). Through this competition, candidates will have to be capable of revisiting this classic with rigour and creativity in a six-hour test. A production panel and a tasting panel will be assessing the technical expertise and taste qualities of the products!" announces the confederation of the bakery-pâtisserie sector.
