Bread celebrations take place through many events all around the world.
In London, during the St Honoré Week, we had the pleasure of being invited to the French Embassy alongside passionate members of the French and British bakery industry.
We would like to thank Gilles Quillot, Chef at the French Embassy, as well as Business France UK, for organising this event bringing together passionate professionals and representatives of the artisan bakery and milling sectors.
The day was filled with discussions, conferences and wonderful encounters.
Arnaud Sorin, Technical Director at Foricher - Les Moulins, led a conference entitled “The Tradition Baguette: three years after its inscription on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list”, while also sharing insights into flour production, wheat selection and traceability.
It was a great opportunity to highlight French milling expertise and share our passion for artisan baking and high-quality flours.
With the presence and support of our export sales team: Marie Abyven, Vincent Pavec
In 2023, Yvon Foricher also held a conference on the topic “The French baguette listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage: Challenges and Perspectives” during SIRHA Bake & Pastry :
« For us, this inscription on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list is excellent news, especially for France, for artisan bakers and for younger generations, as it is a way of being recognised worldwide. »
Yvon Foricher
Thanks to the work that was done 30 years old around the French tradition, this recognition should continue to raise the profile of the values of the French baguette, is a a symbol of French excellence.
